Travel tips: spend more money on unique experience

Traveling in foreign countries is an excellent way to broaden our horizon. Although it’s wise to cut down unnecessary expenses while travelling, it’s advisable to be generous when it comes to unique experiences.

Unique experience is not available every where. Listening to Johann Strauss concert in Vienna, visiting Nazi concentration camp in Poland, and exploring the great fjord in Norway are experiences worth treasuring. Hotel and transportation are quite common so we can cut down expenses on those stuffs. But don’t save money on unique experience. There are many people who want to save 15 Euro and missed the precious chance of climbing up the leaning tower of Pisa (trust me - such experience is unique and surreal. The gravity pull comes from various directions as you ascend up the tower).

Local food is something unique that we should try generously. Genuine pizza in Italy is very different from the ones you eat at Pizza hut. The crust is so thin that you can fold or roll the pizza. Don’t forget to try Swedish meatball, German sausage, and Italian gelato when you visit these countries.

Some experiences are over priced rip offs. You might want to use common sense to avoid such tourist traps. I wouldn’t want to pay 100 Euro for a 30 minute gondola ride in Venice.

You’ll not regret spending money on unique experiences because next time you can tell your grandchildren that you have climbed Pisa tower and eaten the real authentic pizza. And feel proud about it.

I tend to agree with you my friend. Those things we sometime take for granted sometimes are the best thing that happens during a travel…

yeah. it’s regrettable when we look back and sigh that we didn’t appreciate doing some things when we had the chance. :P
